Conservatories

Conservatories, thinking about buying one?

Firstly what are you looking to achieve? Maybe additional space for a play room for the children, a dinning room where you can view the garden and watch the sunset in the evenings, or a room to relax and watch the season pass by. Whatever the reason there is a conservatory suitable for your requirements

Conservatories can be designed to suite any purpose you require. Firstly you need to look at as many designs as you can. You may consider contacting some local conservatory companies and asking for a brochure showing various designs to get some idea what's available. So where shall we start with our designs for conservatories? For a play area we would suggest a garden room or sun lounge the size is dependent on the space available but would advocate around 4250 mm wide x 3000 mm deep, Bi-fold doors to the centre facing the patio with glass to floor panels either side with large opening windows to keep the conservatory cool in the summer, glass or polycarbonate roof with 2 roof ventilators.

A dinning room requires a little bit more panache, such a Victorian stretch these conservatories can look amazing. Suggested  design is 5000 mm wide x 3500 mm projection, French doors to centre opening out onto the garden, full glass to floor panels one panel facet each side and 3 panels return with a 450 or 600 mm base wall all panels above the base wall must have opening ventilators. The roof, glass or polycarbonate is ok with a minimum of two roof ventilators.
